Our lovely holiday home is located in Cape Coral on the south west coast of Florida. We enjoy a warm climate all year round making Florida one of the top holiday destinations in the world.
The house is located on a quiet side street in a peaceful residential area. Due to the excellent road network the Fort Myers International Airport is only about 40 minutes away.
When you open the large patio sliding door the inside and outside living areas appear to blend effortlessly together, giving a wonderful light and airy feel to the house. The dining table can seat six easily and looks out over the pool.
We have a fully equipped kitchen area including stove with self cleaning oven, dishwasher, microwave, electric kettle, toaster and a double door freezer/fridge with an ice and chilled water dispenser in the door – essential for enjoying drinks on the patio. There is also a utility room where you will find the washer and dryer.
The sitting room has lovely Florida style furniture with ample seating for six together with a 32” flat screen tv and dvd/cd player. The tv console also houses the high speed wireless internet connection. The access code will be provided when you arrive in the house.
The master bedroom is separated from the other bedrooms by the living area and has a king size bed with 4” memory foam topper, ensuite bathroom and ample storage space. The room opens onto the patio by a sliding glass door – perfect for access to the hot tub and outside shower before bed – you will sleep so well!
The second bedroom has a queen size bed and has a sliding patio door out on to the pool area, also with ample wardrobe space.
The twin bedroom has two twin beds each with 4” memory foam toppers – these beds are amazingly comfortable. The pool is just perfect for a refreshing swim – after which a session in the hot tub can do wonders for aching limbs after a day’s sightseeing, golf, bicycling or kayaking! During the winter months the pool is heated by solar power.
The pool and hot tub are checked for water quality every week by our pool service. You can usually expect to see Bob every Tuesday morning – he will let himself into the pool area via the rear gate. He is a good source of local information as is Marty, who cuts the grass every week – usually on a Saturday or Sunday morning.
The pool and patio area is enclosed within a screened cage. The evenings can therefore be enjoyed outside, either eating at the glass topped table or enjoying a late night drink before bedtime. The shell path is lit with solar lamps at night and there are solar spotlights on some of the palms.
We have two bicycles and four beach chairs in the garage for the use of guests. There is also a bicycle carrier – if you have a 2” square hitch on your car. Richard and I often go for a bicycle ride around the local area – the roads are pretty quiet and it is very pleasant in the cool of the evening.
